What do you accomplish when you Support NEP?

You help to underwrite performances by Boston’s “most creative ensemble” — a “volunteer orchestra known for its uncommonly thoughtful and adventurous programming” — continuing the NEP’s distinctive mix of Innovation and Tradition in Concert.

You help to introduce young listeners to classical music and musical instruments, both contemporary and traditional, through the NEP’s collaboration with the Boston Children’s Museum “short performances”, and showcasing the winner of our Young Artist Competition followed by the instrument petting zoo at our Family Concert.

You help make tickets available at affordable prices to students, and support our ability to offer low cost and complimentary tickets to senior citizens’ and others for whom attending live performances may be beyond their means.

You help commission the composition of new works by the NEP Composer-in-Residence and other composers, and giving world and Boston premieres of recent compositions through our Call for Scores competition.

Ticket sales cover a small percentage of New England Philharmonic costs to do all these things and produce four concerts each season.
Many concert expenses are invisible, such as renting space, music
and unusual instruments, and paying for soloists.

Your gift gives you the satisfaction of supporting the creation of new music
and outstanding concert performances, nurturing new musicians and composers,
and underwriting education and outreach.

There are multiple ways to Support NEP:

All donors are listed in concert program books unless they request to remain anonymous.
Individual donors and Sponsors of the NEP receive benefits to recognize their role in keeping the NEP vital.

New England Philharmonic is incorporated in Massachusetts as a 501(c)(3) organization.
